Grand Vista Hotel Chiangrai-SHA Extra Plus

Good size room with a comfortable bed. The room was clean and had the option of daily housekeeping, so no concerns for a two week stay. Wifi was adequate, although could at times be a bit slow. As with most hotels, guests in the hallway could be heard and particularly noisy guests could be heard in adjoining rooms. However this was infrequent and a minor frustration. The hotel is a thirty five minute walk from Chiang Rai’s centre, or a five minute grab/taxi/scooter ride away. This location was ideal for our stay, as we were able to get away from the busyness of the tourist hub when we wanted. The hotel is also located next to a large shopping centre with well stocked supermarket, food options, and retailers. A big thank you to dining room/kitchen staff, who ensured our fully vegetarian/vegan diet requirements were catered for (via a la carte menu options every morning). Overall, hotel staff were approachable, helpful and very professional. One area of concern was a gradual build-up of smell from the drains in the bathroom toward the end of our stay; although the impact on our stay was reduced given the odour had generally cleared by the time we had returned to our room later in the day. Nevertheless, this is an area that needs to be addressed by the hotel.

The pool excess was very nice even it too cold to go to swim :D and the room very quiet! We can take a good rest after we travel all day! We like it the most!

Breakfast is excellent with so many choices of food. Perfect location, near Central ChiangRai and Big C.

Large rooms. Comfy beds. Close to Chiang Rai Central mall. Swimming pool wasn't too deep so good for beginning swimmers. Breakfast was the same most days but liked the omelette and soup noodle stations.

The reception, esp the head Tam ;was very nice , had concern as well as excellent service mind and replied to all email for planning . the driver kun Nop was very nice with warm hospitality both welcome and farewell , hotel and room were nice , comfortable and clean with good facilities …lots of lights inside the room which support what we needed. Central plaza was just across the foot bridge , Big C was on the right hand side .. both were within a short walking distance , housekeeper and room service nong Palm all were nice . They tried to offer what we needed and everything was on time as planned.
